Santa Ana Workers’ Compensation Law Firm Serving Riverside & Orange, CA Also Assists with Bankruptcy, Business Law and Estate Planning

Counseling individuals, families and businesses and resolving your legal issues

At Invictus Law, P.C., we work hard to help you find the legal resolutions you need at affordable prices and to provide you with the attention you deserve. Our attorneys bring a diverse set of experiences to the practice of workers’ compensation, bankruptcy, business law and estate planning. We serve clients in the communities of Orange County — including Santa Ana, Orange and Irvine— and in San Bernardino, Riverside and San Diego counties.

Helping you find your way through the California workers’ compensation system

By law, California employers must carry workers’ compensation insurance. If an employee gets hurt on the job, California law prohibits that employee from bringing a lawsuit against the employer for the injury. The employee files a claim and expects benefits that include medical treatment, temporary or permanent disability and rehabilitation. If the worker dies as a result of the injury, his or her family expects death benefits.

But the process doesn’t always work so smoothly. Disputes can take place between you and your employer over whether the injury truly occurred on the job. Sometimes, your employer’s insurance company and you disagree about the amount of benefits. We assist with ensuring you receive the appropriate medical treatment and the compensation you deserve for your injuries.

Guiding you through the bankruptcy process

These are hard economic times. California families find themselves deeply in debt, perhaps even facing foreclosure, with no clear way out. Our attorneys help you understand your debt relief options. If bankruptcy is the right choice, we guide you through the eligibility process and determine which chapter of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code is right for you. Chapter 7 is typically for those who want to wipe out their debt through liquidation of their assets. Chapter 13 helps those with a regular income who want to keep their homes and enter a three-to-five-year repayment plan to pay off their debt. Chapter 11 helps corporations and partnerships keep their assets, implement a plan of reorganization and enter a repayment plan. We file a bankruptcy claim in federal court and represent you in hearings.

Providing counsel on a wide variety of business law matters

Our business law attorneys serve as general counsel to more than a dozen corporate entities. We advise them and others, including those in the manufacturing, apparel and real estate industries, on matters concerning mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, business dissolution, e-commerce, online marketing and affiliate marketing. We help entrepreneurs form new businesses and recommend business entity structures to suit their purposes. We also represent our clients when disputes arise. We apply alternative dispute resolution methods, including arbitration and mediation, but we are always prepared to litigate in court if necessary.

Helping you protect your assets for the future through estate planning

Our estate planning attorneys carefully explain in easy-to-understand language the tools available to you for a comprehensive estate plan, including wills and trusts. The estate plan shows how you want to distribute your assets to your designated heirs when you pass and states your wishes if you become incapacitated and can no longer make financial or healthcare decisions for yourself. We also assist families in the administration of a loved one’s estate and guide you through the California probate process.
